Five ways to find us.

Pickup and drop-off tents are just inside the ticket booths at the gates below. Choose the location that works best for your arrival.

Gate 1By the public bus transit stop on Hillsborough Street.
Gate 7Access gate. Equipment is brought from another gate when available, so allow extra time.
Gate 8Near the horse barn parking lots at Trinity Road and Youth Center Road.
Gate 9Entrance from the Trinity Road parking lots.
Gate 10Entrance from the accessible parking lots off Trinity Road.

Find the rental tents

Gate 10 is our main tent and the default pickup. Most units are kept there. Accessible parking is right beside it, off Trinity Road.

For safety, Mobility Concepts equipment must remain inside the fair gates unless a staff member accompanies you.

Electric scooter

The whole day, back 30 minutes before the fair closes. Late returns pay a late fee. Cash or card. Maximum passenger weight is 400 lbs.

Push wheelchair

$25

The whole day, back 30 minutes before the fair closes. Late returns pay a late fee. Cash or card. Multiple sizes and leg lifts are available as needed.

Child transport

$25

The whole day, back 30 minutes before the fair closes. Late returns pay a late fee. Cash or card. Single and double strollers plus single-capacity CuddleCars.

What to bring.

Valid photo ID showing your current address.
A valid driver's license, or a $200 card deposit if you do not have one. A license is kept until the equipment is returned. A deposit is reviewed the next morning. We do not take car keys.
Cash or an accepted card for payment at pickup. Bank transaction service fees apply.

Reserve a scooter online

$79 for the whole day, paid when you book. Bring it back 30 minutes before the fair closes: 10:30 p.m., or 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Late returns pay a late fee. Pick it up at Gate 10, our main tent, from 8:00 am or from noon. Reserve the day before: same-day reservations are not available, and a morning pickup closes to new bookings at 8:00 pm the night before. Bring photo ID and your driver's license. No license? Pay a $200 card deposit instead. It is charged to your card, and we check returned scooters the next morning and refund any deposit that is due.

Reservations cannot be cancelled within 48 hours of your pickup time. To cancel before then, call 919-533-8846.

A limited number of scooters are sold online each day. Walk-ups are always welcome, first come, first served. Wheelchairs and strollers are walk-up only.
